Wang Weide

 

Mr.Wang Weide was born in 1944 in Guyuan city of Ningxia province, and he studied fine art at the Shanghai College of Fine Arts. Now he is a director of Ningxia Artists' Association, president of Guyuan city's Artists Association and visiting professor of Ningxia normal University. Mr. Wang specialized at woodblock prints, oil-painting of landscape of the West of China. And he has shown his works in domestic and abroad, such as Japan, Uk, Poland,etc.

 

Exhibitions:

<Rhythm of wheat field> won the copper prize of Ningxia Art Exhibition in 1994.

<Plateau wheat field> was published in <People's Daily> in the may of 1984, and won the copper prize of Ningxia Art Exhibition in 1985

<Life> won the silver prize of Ningxia Art Exhibition in 1998

<Silent mountains> won the silver prize of Ningxia Art Exhibition in 1999

<Herding on plateau> was shown in the 9^th National Print Exhibition in 1986

<Wind> won the outstanding prize of Ningxia employees' artworks exhibition in 1989

 

In 2001, <Harvest of Loess plateau>, <Herding on plateau>, <Rhythm of wheat field> were exhibited in London,U.K. by Orient Art Centre of Hong Kong, and also in this year, <Harvest of Loess plateau>, <Life>, <Herding on plateau>, <Rhythm of wheat field>, <Silent mountains> were exhibited in Japan by Ningxia Tourist Office
