Xu Chengchun
Mr. Xu Chengchun was born in 1961 in Shenyang city. He began his art studies in 1979 and in 1985 he continued the printmaking studies in Luxun Fine Art Institute, printmaking department. Now, he is member of Chinese Artists' Association, editor of the newspaper <Da Xing'An Ling Daily>. And he is representative of "Forest prints" in China.
From the year of 1979, he has created more than one hundred artworks, including Chinese traditional paintings, woodblocks, illustrations, mural paintings and relief.
 
Exhibitions:
Woodblock<The lost woods> was selected in the 9th National Art Exhibition in 1999, Beijing city. And this print was collected by Nagano Art Gallery of Japan.
Woodblock <Yo-heave-ho in the headwaters> was selected in the 12th National Print Exhibition in 1994, Shenzhen city. And it was collected by Sydney University of Australia.
Woodblock <Song of boat> was selected in the 15th National Print Exhibition in 2000, Guangzhou city. This print was collected by Guangzhou Art gallery.
Woodblock <River in the memories> was selected in the 16th National Print Exhibition in 2002, Nanjing city. This print was collected by Art gallery of Anhui province and Heilongjiang province.
Woodblock < The turned back family> was selected in the 2nd National Art Exhibition, Gold Colors prized artworks, in 2003.
Woodblock <The disappearing Shaman> attended the 7th Kochi International Triennial Print Exhibition and won outstanding prize, it was collected by Kochi Art Gallery in 2008.
<Village of North Pole> was selected in the 1st Chinese Modern Print Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan in 1987. Japanese magazine <Work and study>(translation) collected this print and published on the front page of the 12th of the year 1989.
< The spring of Yanzhi Valley> was selected in the Chinese Contemporary Print Exhibition in Japan in 1989.
Artworks, like <Freezing season> were collected by the National Art Gallery, Guangzhou Art Gallery, Shenzhen Art gallery, Shenzhou Print Gallery of Sichuan province, and also collectors from Australian and Japan.
