Mr.He Yongkun-representative for Yunnan Heavy Colour Paintings and Yunnan Woodcuts

Mr. He Yongkun was born in KunMing, Yunnan Province in January 1953, and graduated from printmaking department of Yunnan Arts University in 1982. In 1992, he finished his studies at China National Academy of Fine Arts. Now, he is a professor and president of Art Design Academy of Yunnan Arts University and he is also a very famous heavy-colour painting artist, he got a huge success in the past 10 years of heavy-colour paintings. In our last phone with this artist, he told us that his artworks were exhibited the last month in Italy and would be exhibited this month in USA.

He is engaged in art education and art creation for a long time. His artworks are selected in National exhibiton for many times and most of his artworks won national and provincial prize. He Yongkun's artworks are widly exhibited in China, United States, Japan and Europe and collected by national&international art organization. And also many national and international publication published his artworks and dissertation, in 1998, he was awarded by Yunnan province government as "Outstanding professional".

1991 <Riverside> was selected in the 4^th Yunnan New Year Print Exhibition

1992 <Morning song> was selected in the 3^rd Chinese Artworks Exhibition at YunNan

1992 <Green grassplot> was selected in the 11^th National Print Exhibiton, and won a bronze medal

1994 <Secret Garden> was selected in the 8^th National Art Exhibition

1996 <Streamlet in the forest> was selected in the 5^th Yunnan provincial Print Exhibition

1983 <Bamboo village> and <Making brocade> were chosen in <Chinese prints exhibition> and exhibited in Danmark.

1990 <Spring> was shown in an exhibition of "Yunnan 12 aritists" in Japan

1991 exhibition in Taiwan
